Around 700 persons including doctors, teachers and students of the institute took out a rally across the city. The rally later converged into a corner meeting.
“Three days have passed since the doctors were beaten up. However, no step has been taken to ensure our security. How can we return to work in this situation?” asked Dr Rohit Yadav.
He stressed that their demands were related to the overall security and not merely the safety of doctors.
Relatives of a person injured in an accident at Letang, Morang, had manhandled two doctors at the emergency ward of the hospital a few days ago.
