The event was attended by some 70 Nepali entrepreneurs and shop owners in Phuket and the nearby resort destination of Khao Lak, NTB said in a press release. “The event is a beginning of a partnership between the Nepali embassy and NRN Thailand to promote Nepalis, Nepal and its tourism,” adds the release.
Phuket, one of the world´s leading resort destinations, lures more than 5 million international tourists each year. Nepali entrepreneurs and shop-owners come into direct contact with the visitors as well with the local Thai population.
This partnership program was an attempt to encourage and mobilize the Nepali entrepreneurs in Phuket to promote Nepal´s tourism, the release says.
On the occasion, Naveen Prakash Jung Shah, Nepali ambassador to Thailand, requested for cooperation of the entire Nepali community in Phuket and highlighted the need of close partnership between the stakeholders for the success of the campaign.
USNPL distributors´ meeting held
KATHMANDU, June 14: United Spirits Nepal Private Limited (USNPL), makers of McDowells No 1 and Signature whiskies, among others, held its second all Nepal distributors´ meeting in Kathmandu on Saturday.
The meeting was held to mark the sale of the 90 million cases of the whiskies that were sold worldwide by the UB Group and the 300,000 cases that were sold across Nepal.
Distributors from all across Nepal attended the meeting, states a press release issued by the company on Sunday. The meeting gave a clear indication of the growing strength of the UB Group in Nepal, adds the release.
USNPL currently has eight brands under its umbrella and is planning to diversify in the near future by introducing foreign scotches.
