According to Inspector Jagnath Khanal of Lamki-based Area Police Office, the incident took place at a barren field some 2 kilometers north of the Lamki bazaar.
According to locals, a loud sound of explosion was heard at around 4.30 early this morning.
Police reached the blast site after locals informed them about the explosion.
Security personnel are trying to figure it out what kind of bomb it was since it went off while being planted under the ground.
Inspector Khanal said they are investigating into it. The shrapnel of the bomb has been found 200 meters away from the incident site. No one has yet claimed the responsibility of the incident.
