JHAPA, May 21: An unidentified group on Sunday night detonated a bomb in the house of ward Chairman of Damak Municipality-7 Bhim Paudel. Two people were injured in the explosion while the house has sustained minor damages.
The injured are Semu Rai and Trolochan Pokharel. They are undergoing treatment at Damak-based Rifle line Hospital. Paudel’s house is around 500 meters away from Area Police Office Damak.

Earlier, Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN in a press release had warned of stringent action against ward Chair Paudel and Mayor Romnath Oli for removing landless squatters from disputed Damak bazaar area.
Police said they are investing the case.
