Agrawal alleged that some members of All Nepal National Independent Students´ Union-Revolutionary, the student wing of UCPN (Maoist), planted the bomb in his home. [break]
"They did so in a fit of rage after I snubbed their demand for donation," the campus chief said.
The bomb, hanged in the gate of Agrawal´s house last night, was disposed this morning at 10 am by the army team led by Capt Rekha Khatri from Chhar Bahini Barrack, Nepalgunj.
In another incident, police recovered about 30 small bombs kept hidden in sacks at Padanaha-5.
Dilli Chaudhary, a local, found the home-made bombs while he was ploughing in his field.
Meanwhile, Chief District Officer of Bardiya Beni Madhav Gywali said a high alert has been sounded in the district ahead of the mass protest and indefinite strike announced by the UCPN (Maoist).
