KATHMANDU, Oct 16: Blue Bale FC on Sunday defeated NRFFA 5-3 on penalties in the Naikap Gold Cup being held in Naikap, Kathmandu.
The match was decided through penalty following a 2-2 draw in the regulation time. Sunil Gautam and Manoj Budhathoki netted one goal each for NRFFA while Bikrosh Pokharel and Kishor Gurung scored for Blue Bale. Mukesh Rai of the winning side was declared the man-of-the-match.

In the second match of the day, West Kathmandu (Naikap) registered a 2-1 victory over BR Brother. The-man-of-the match Abdullaha netted twice for West Kathmandu while Karan Tamang scored a consolation goal for BR Brother.
In the last match of the day, Baireni Youth Group beat Mahadev Youth Club 4-3 on penalties to advance to the second round of the tournament.
Rohit Dahal gave lead to Mahadev but Baireni found the equalizer from Bipin Kandel's goal which dragged the match into penalties. Rajesh Kunwar was declared the man-of-the match.
