Black soot smeared on Durga Prasai

KATHMANDU, Oct 9: Medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai, known for his controversial statements, has been smeared black soot by unknown individuals in Kathmandu.

Prasai held a press conference at 12:45 in the afternoon at a hotel in the capital. As soon as he left the program hall, unidentified individuals approached him and applied black soot on his face.

Prasai had invited former king Gyanendra Shah to Jhapa and announced the ‘Nation, Nationality, Religion- Culture and Citizen Rescue Campaign '.

Since then, he has been making controversial statements targeting various other businessmen.

In February last year, Prasain himself announced a 'black soot squad' to smear black soot on the heads of banks and financial institutions. The police had also arrested the central coordinator of the squad, Shambhu Thapa.
