BIRGUNJ, May 22: The Birgunj Metropolitan City has sought clarification from 24 teachers on Sunday. The Metropolis asked for clarification from them for not attending the school on time.
According to Mayor Rajeshman Singh, teachers and principal of the Shree Nepal Rastriya Bidhyapeeth Secondary School were absent when a metropolis team reached the School for a surprise visit.
Arbind Lal Karna, Chief of the Department of Education in the Metropolis, shared that although there were many teachers physically present in the school they had not registered their attendance officially.
Mayor Singh pledged to address the crunch of teachers in the public schools at the earliest to prevent teaching-learning activities from being affected.
The team also made a surprise visit at the Narsingh Secondary School at ward no 14 and at the Shree Tri Judda Mahabir Prasad Raghubir Ram Higher Secondary School at ward no 4 in the Metropolis on Sunday itself.
