BIRGUNJ, May 24: The Birgunj Metropolitan City has spent Rs 1.74 billion during the 10 months of the current fiscal year.
The metropolitan city stated that it spent 52.7 per cent till the first 10 months of the current fiscal year 2023/24.
Likewise, the total amount spent under the heading of capital expenditure is higher compared to the last fiscal year in the metropolitan city.
The total budget allocated for the current fiscal year in the metropolitan city is Rs 3.46 billion.
So far, the metropolitan city spent Rs 1.34 billion under the current expenditure while Rs 392.2 million was spent for capital expenditure.
The metropolitan city has stated that revenue collection in the city was not as estimated but the capital expenditure has slightly improved.
The metropolis collected Rs 398 million in revenue in the 10 months of the current fiscal year.
