KATHMANDU, Dec 3: Police has arrested eight people accused for their involvement in series of blasts across the country. Majority of those arrested are members of Biplav led CPN-Maoist (revolutionary).
Milan Rai, Kumar Tamang and Dil Bahadur Sunar have been arrested on charges of detonating bombs in three places of Kaski, Manoj Neupane, spokesperson of Nepal Police said.

Likewise, Chatramani Adhikari, Mahendra Tamang have been arrested for exploding bombs at Sankhuwasabha and Bhojpur. “All of them are members of Biplav’s party,” Neupane said adding three people who fired at police at Siraha have been arrested as well. Moreover, one more has been arrested at Udayapur.
To ensure election safety, around 300,000 security personnel including Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police, CIB and temporary police have been deployed.
So far, police have arrested 589 people on charges of anti election activities. More than 50 explosive devises have been found across the country after candidate nominations for the elections of House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly. “However, majority of the bombs were dummies,” Neupane said.
