DOLPA, May 15: Police have arrested two of the five cadres of Biplav led Nepal Communist Party who attacked police personnel to forcibly free an arrested cadre on Sunday.


Those arrested are Nar Bahadur Rana from Tatopani and Santosh Khaka from Awlanching. Both are residents of Surkhet. Police deployed from Tripurakot, Jufal and Dunai found them hiding among the bushes of Tripura Sundari Municpality-3 on Monday, according to District Police Office.

On Sunday, a cadre was arrested by the police during the Nepal Bandha on Sunday. A group of five cadres led by the party’s district in charge Ajit Bista jad attacked police squad escorting Sagar Shai to Dunai from Tripurakot Police Post.


Rana and Khadka were arrested on a tip-off. Police also confiscated clothes, bills, satellite phone. During investigations, police came to know that the duo had come for extortion and levying bills during Yarsagumba collection.
