Bill could not explore ways for reforms-Dr KC

KATHMANDU, Jan 25: Hunger striker Prof Dr Govinda KC has commented that the National Medical Education Bill, endorsed by the House of Representatives (HOR) today, could not find the ways for long-term reforms in medical education.

KATHMANDU, Jan 25: Hunger striker Prof Dr Govinda KC has commented that the National Medical Education Bill, endorsed by the House of Representatives (HOR) today, could not find the ways for long-term reforms in medical education. 


Issuing a press release today, senior orthopedic surgeon, who has been on his 16th hunger strike demanding reforms in medical education, alleged that the bill was endorsed contravening with the agreement made with him earlier for reforms in medical education sector.

The bill has suppressed the citizens' right to receive quality and accessible health services, reads the release.
