On the occasion, Shishir Bhatta, managing director of the daily, declared Economic Journalism Award in the name of late Khatri with a fund of Rs 500,000. Bhatta also announced to provide Rs 500,000 in a revolving fund set up by SEJON to support the education of Baibhav Babu, son of late Bijay Babu.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives of Nepali business community expressed condolence to bereaved family members and lauded late Khatri´s contribution for the development of economic journalism.
Similarly, different persons and organizations handed over their financial support to the fund to SEJON president Pradeep Chapagain.
