"According to CM, the decision made by his secretariat mustn't be opposed by any lawmaker at any cost. If his secretariat is supposed to decide everything, why is federalism for?"
The party claimed that CM's authoritarian act raised a question on the rights of lawmakers to present their opinion freely in the parliament.
The party also accused the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) of going against the norms and values of federalism and the spirit of the constitution by finalizing the name of the Province as Bagmati and fixing Hetauda as its capital through the misuse of majority in the Provincial Assembly.
"However, it is a positive development that the Province has finally got its name and permanent capital after two years of its formation. "
The party stated that it accepted the voting results for naming the province and its capital although it with Sajha party had proposed Dhulikhel to be the capital of the Province.
The party also committed to raising the genuine issues of citizens for the protection and promotion of democratic values despite its small size in the parliament.
