KATHMANDU, July 24: A defamation suit was filed by noted actor Bhuwan KC against actress Samgrayee Shah on Friday at the Kathmandu District Court (KDC), demanding a huge compensation from the actress.
KC filed the suit against the actress claiming Rs 100 million compensation for the loss due to her defamatory activities against his ‘honour and reputation’, according to KDC Information Officer Gyanendra Bahadur Karki.
KC in his lawsuit claimed that Samragyee made defamatory statements accusing him of sexually harassing her in various news channels as well as social media which undermined his “honour and reputation”. According to Karki, the case was already registered and the proceedings had already begun.
