We also provide ample platform for our wards to nurture their hobbies through various club activities. What are some basic requirements to study BHM/BTTM?

Any student who has completed grade 12 specializing in management, science or arts can join the BHM program at Platinum Management College provided that they have secured at least C GPA in each subject. We are currently taking admission for BHM program.

Well, as mentioned earlier there is immense opportunities for BHM graduates in the domestic and international markets. There are other areas related to tourism like trekking, mountaineering and so on. Our students can pursue their career in these fields as well. Till now, students are getting jobs easily in our country. Similarly they can work in various hotels of the globe. What are the special features of BHM in your college?

We have two kitchen labs equipped with modern equipment and a large bakery lab for food production. Similarly, in the food and beverage service we have two large restaurant labs along with bar and barista facilities. Likewise for house-keeping , we have enough rooms with all facilities . We also have suite in the college itself where students can perform various tasks. Similarly, we have large computer lab where students can learn the different components of hotel software that we have developed and that is useful for front office as well. 


Beside these, we train them in making different cocktails and mocktails in our mixology class and students can learn the skill of making different types of coffee in our barista class. The lab is equipped with coffee maker and efficient trainer.


What are the things your graduates do after completing their study?

Most of the graduates from our college are involved in various jobs. Our graduates are working in various hotels of Kathmandu valley like Hotel Soltee, Radisson, Marriot, Hyatt to take a few names. And some of our graduates are in Australia, America and various European countries to pursue their further studies. And a few of them have established themselves as good entrepreneurs. They have set their own businesses. Some of our students are contributing to the. This is really a praiseworthy thing that students are doing better and contributing to build up a better nation.


How is foreign exposure in BHM?

Well, there is one-year internship provision for the BHM students. In this period, they have to search for various hotels of Nepal and abroad. Regarding Ritz College, in this field we give opportunities to the students to perform their internship in the various hotels of different countries. Our students are performing internship in the UAE, China, Thailand, the Maldives, Bahrain, Qatar etc.

Why do students prefer BHM? 


 It is a four-year, eight-semester program and students don’t need to focus only on text-book study because of practical subjects. Out of 100 marks, 60 percent marks are obtained from internal assessment and students have to give 40 percent written exam. Compared to our traditional learning techniques, it is quite easy and involves active participation. It helps students develop technical skills, become successful entrepreneurs and develop positive attitude.

What job opportunities are there in the market for BHM graduates?

BHM graduates are highly demanded in banquets and conferences and food and beverage management sector. They work for housekeeping, front office and restaurant management.They are also employed in various departments such as finance, sales and marketing, human resource and public relations. In event management, they can efficiently work for exhibitions, weddings, and sports events. They are also preferred in airlines, casinos, catering and cruises.

What are the basic requirements to study BHM?

They are selected through an entrance test and interview. Basic academic qualification required is 10+2 with minimum 2 GPA or D+ grade in each subject.
