KATHMANDU, April 22: Bijaya Nath Bhattarai, a member of the committee formed to recommend a new governor, has resigned from his position.

The government had formed a three-member recommendation committee on March 24, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel, to propose candidates for the next Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank. Bhattarai, who is also a former governor, was one of the members of this committee.
