Receiving a memorandum submitted by a delegation of Reporters' Club seeking his views about probable measures for addressing the agitation at his residence at Sanepa today, Bhattarai insisted on sorting out the disputes hovering over the demarcation of federal provinces on the basis of agreements. "It would be better for the sake of all to finalize the demarcation issues first as it hamper efforts for attaining lasting peace," he said.
Major political parties could reach a political deal regarding the demarcation issues based on the recommendations of the State Restructuring Commission. Durable peace and political stability was the first condition for achieving economic progress and for that state power should be proportionally allocated to all caste and communities.
