Bhattarai holds telephonic talks with leaders for consensus

KATHMANDU, Sept 12: UCPN (Maoist) senior leader Baburam Bhattarai has intensified talks with the leaders from various political parties to forge maximum consensus before promulgating a new constitution from early Saturday.

According to Bhattarai's personal secretary Bishwadeep Pandey, he is holding informal talks with various leaders in a bid to take them into confidence.


Bhattarai, who is also the chairman of Constitutional-Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee (CPDCC), will hold formal meetings with them after creating conducive environment, said Pandey.

Bhattarai held telephonic talks with various leaders including Sarbendranath Sukla, Mahesh Acharya, Chairman of Madhesi People's Rights Forum (Democratic) Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar, Dhaman Nath Dhungana, UML leader Surendra Pandey, Bishnu Paudel, Federal Socialist Forum Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav.

He is trying to hold talks with the other leaders, too, Pandey told Republica.
