BAGLUNG, April 9: Former prime minister and UCPN (Maoist) Vice-chairman Baburam Bhattarai challenged President Ram Baran Yadav to provide evidence of corruption during his term at Baluwatar.
Speaking at a gathering organized by his party at Bagchaur, Baglung today, Bhattarai expressed his reservation saying that the president should have spoken on basis of evidence. “The president should have sought evidence rather than go with rumors,” the former prime minister said. [break]
His dissatisfaction comes at a time when the president reportedly made remarks with incumbent ministers on corruption cases when Bhattarai was the prime minister.
