KATHMANDU, August 16: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has recommended senior advocate Basanta Ram Bhandari for the post of attorney general on Wednesday. The post was vacant after Raman Shrestha resigned on August 13. Shrestha was appointed to the post by Pushpa Kamal Dahal- led government.

Now the President, on the recommendation of the government, will appoint Bhandari for the post.
