MYAGDI, Dec 11: The Beni – Jomsom – Korala road project connecting the border with Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) of China with Myagdi's Beni has started.
The Ministry of Physical Planning and Transport has launched the Rs six billion project for upgradation of the 186 km road. The 76 km Beni – Jomson road stretch will be blacktopped while 110 km Jomsom – Korala road will be upgraded, Project Chief, Narendra Subedi said.
The road considered the fate line of Province no 4 is expected to contribute significantly in infrastructure, economic, trade, hydro power, tourism and religious destinations' development, Myagdi Chamber of Commerce and Industry President, Jivan Bahadur Bishwokarma said. RSS
