Apart from providing management consulting and advisory services, Beed has also begun providing investment consulting and portfolio management services on stocks, says a press release. To provide its portfolio management services, which involves managing the investments of investors, Beed employs a custom-made software that uses scientifically sound research techniques.
“We have a highly competent professional team, and we intend to change the investment outlook in Nepal; to do so, we´ll be using both fundamental methods of analysis and more technically complex analyses. That should minimize the risks for our clients and ensure commensurate returns,” said Suman Rayamajhi, the CEO of Beed Invest.
Sujeev Shakya, the chairperson of Beed, said that the company would also introduce products linked to real estate, commodities and other options for investment in Nepal.
Presently, the company offers various stock portfolio products based on the risk appetite and the investment objectives of clients, provides total services to clients including services provided during IPOs, portfolio reviews and custodian function. To identify the blue chip companies in Nepal, Beed has also created its own stock index comprising ´beed chips´®, similar to the S&P 500.
CNI to join hands with SBF
KATHMANDU, June 7: The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) and Singapore Business Federation (SBF) are looking to work together in improve co-operation between the two business associations.
To start the process, a high-level CNI delegation, led by its president, Binod Kumar Chaudhary, left for Singapore for a four-day business tour on Sunday. The CNI´s 11-member delegation includes vice-presidents Birendra Sanghai, Hari Bhakta Sharma and Anuj Agrawal and members Manoj Kedia, Rajesh Agrawal, Dilip Agrawal, Manoj Bansal, Sandip Agrawal, Sulabha Agrawal and Bikash Dugad, states a press release issued by CNI.
The statement says that both sides will establish an understanding for co-operation and will have discussions on the implementation of various programs that have been agreed on by the two sides.
The CNI team is also scheduled to have talks with different government, non-government and private sector business associations, such as International Enterprise, Surbana Corporation Pvt Ltd, NTUC Learning Hub, CPG Consultants, Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Enterprise Development Center.
CFL lists bonus shares
KATHMANDU, June 7: Central Finance Limited has listed 235,493 units of bonus shares worth Rs 100 each in the Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse).
The 12th annual general meeting of the company had decided to issue the bonus shares, according to a press release issued by the company on Sunday.
With the listing of the bonus shares, the total units of shares listed by the financial institution in the Nepse have reached 1.01 million.
Since June 1, the company has also been issuing equity shares on rights basis to existing shareholders in the ratio of 4:1.
Upon completion of the issuance of the rights shares, the finance company will have a paid-up capital of Rs 127.93 million.
EBL gives away T-shirts
KATHMANDU, June 7: Everest Bank has donated T-shirts and caps to volunteers of Jyapu Samaj, Lalitpur, who make active participation in Rato Machhindranath chariot pulling ceremony. The bank gave away caps and T-shirts as part of its corporate social responsibility.
