B'desh to provide 10,000 metric tons of rice

KATHMANDU, May 5: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered the sending of 10,000 metric tons of rice and safe drinking water as relief to Nepal. Prime Minister's Press Secretary AKM Shamim Chowdhury told that the PM gave the directive on Monday.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday directed the authorities concerned to send 10,000 metric tons of rice and adequate water to Nepal for its earthquake-hit people. " The process of dispatch has already begun," Shamim said.


"The relief materials will be transported via road and air." The cargoes would travel through Banglabandh-Fulbari-Panitanki-Kakarvitta land route.
