CAN had recently signed a deal with the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) for the friendly tour and development of cricket. CAN´s national consultant Aamir Akthar and member Sanjeev Pandey had accompanied CAN President Tanka Angbuhang to New Delhi two weeks ago to strike the deal.
"It is the first time BCCI and CAN have established official correspondences and it has significance," said Pandey. "As DDCA informed us that the provincial cricket board needed official approval before signing the bilateral agreement, our international consultant Amrit Mathur took the initiative to get the BCCI approval and we finally got it," he added.
CAN had signed the deal with Delhi and also forwarded a similar proposal to Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) when Angbuhang met DDCA President Arun Jaitley and MPCA President Jyotiraditya Scindia during his tour to India.
As per the agreement with DDCA, Nepali national cricket team will travel to Delhi for a friendly series from October 20 to early November. Nepal will play seven to 10 matches during the tour.
Nepali national team is to play in the World T20 Qualifiers to be held in the United Arab Emirates from November 15 to 30.
