James Rodriguez scored in the first half with a header and former Spurs winger Gareth Bale completed a 2-0 win for Madrid against Tottenham on Tuesday with a long-range shot late in the match. The Spanish side arrived in Munich without stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.
In the second match, Bayern beat AC Milan 3-0.
Juan Bernat's deflected shot put Bayern ahead in the first half and Mario Goetze and Robert Lewandowski added goals after the break for Pep Guardiola's side.
