Bauddha will mark their return to the top flight with a match against Nepal Police Club in the quarterfinal of the San Miguel Cup Knockout Football Tournament at the Dasharath Stadium on Friday.
The team consists of 10 new faces, four new signings each from New Road Team (NRT) and Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT), one each from Boys Union, Machhindra and ANFA Academy, and a player of Bauddha itself from last season. Arjun Lama is the coach of the team.
Bauddha, established in 2059 BS, were promoted to the second division a year later after winning the C division football. In 2061 BS they were elevated to the first division as the runners-up of the second division, but were relegated from top flight football in 2062 BS, the year they made their debut.
However, they again made it to the first division as one of the four teams promoted by Nepal Football Association in 2065 BS.
