Barcelona has had a perfect start to the La Liga campaign this season with three straight wins and no goals conceded. And a plus point is they have scored nine goals including a tremendous 3-0 victory against the Italian champion Juventus.

After a frustrating season under Luis Enrique and a poor performance judged both by the scoreline and the inferiority against Real Madrid in Supercopa de Espana, Barcelona has comeback really well. With a 2-0 win against Real Betis on the opening day followed by an away victory over Alaves with the same scoreline, the Catalan side swept aside local rivals Espanyol with a 5-0 score just after the international break.

Barcelona now, takes on Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez Stadium with an aim to deliver the same performance which they have been doing in the first four games of the season.

While, Barcelona travel to Getafe, reigning champions Real Madrid visit Real Sociedad at the Anoeta Stadium. Having already dropped four points with two back-to-back draws against Valencia and Levante, Madrid are in psychological pressure to bounce back with a win against the team which has won all its games and has scored more than anyone in the league until now.

Team news

Barcelona has left Rafinha, Arda Turan and Francisco Alcacer out who are struggling with injuries and sickness. But, they should be capable of handling the situation with other players destined to play the same game as they did against Juventus on Tuesday. Having started in all the five games for Barcelona and Spain, Andres Iniesta, would likely be on bench for this game. Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba and Ivan Rakitic might also be out of the lineup for this clash as they all started against Juventus.

Javier Mascherano and Lucas Digne are expected to start in this game while Paulinho and Andre Gomes also might get some gametime. The front trio might as well start again but, Gerard Deulofeu has some chance of getting back to the team.

While on the other hand for Getafe, Dani Pacheco, Jefferson Montero, and Nicolas Ezequiel Gorosita also out with injuries. Montero, who joined on loan from English side Swansea City until 2018 haven’t played a single match for his new side. Mathias Oliviera Miramontes joined Getafe from Atenas, Amath Ndiaye Diedhiou and Emiliano Valazquez from Atletico Madrid, Mauro Arambarri from Boston River, goalie Damian Emiliano Martinez from Arsenal, Djene Dakonam from St. Truiden, Faycal Fajr from Deportivo La Coruna, Markel Bergara from Sociedad, Bruno Gonzalez from Real Betis. While Emilano Buendia was sent on loan until 2018 to Leonesa and Stefan Scepovic to Sporting Gijon for the same time period.

Fajr is expected to start over Jimenez on the right side of the wing despite scoring a winner against Leganes last time out.

Head-to-head

Barcelona has emerged victorious against the home side in three matches while the remaining two have ended in draws. When these two sides met in March 2016, Barcelona comprehensively defeated Getafe by 6-0 at home and won 0-2 away in November. The 2015 April encounter in Camp Nou was a 6-0 win for Barcelona while the two teams shared a goalless draw in December in 2014. Getafe managed to pull a 2-2 draw in May of the same year scoring in the last minute of the match.

Recent form

Lionel Messi has scored seven goals in all competitions this season with two of them coming against Juventus and three against Espanyol. Valverde will be looking for a win again to maintain 100% record as far as the league is concerned.

Meanwhile, Getafe defeated Leganes 1-2 away with Alvaro Jimenez scoring on 83rd minute of the match. But, Getafe have now failed to win in nine Liga games at home drawing five and losing four.
