Bara roads in sorry state, despite allocation of millions of rupees

BARA, Dec 13: Despite allocation of a huge amount of budget for the upgradation of rural roads in the district annually, their condition has not improved yet.

BARA, Dec 13: Despite allocation of a huge amount of budget for the upgradation of rural roads in the district annually, their condition has not improved yet.   


 In the fiscal year 2072/ 73 BS, Bara District Development Committee had allocated over Rs 100 million for the upgradation of rural roads in the district but they are still in a sorry state.

 Locals have alleged that the District Committee Bara has misappropriated the budget meant for the upgradation of the roads.


The DDC has used little gravel over those roads that have been already graveled as an eyewash to the locals.


 The money is suspected to have been shared among the technical staffers, DDC, and the consumers committee hoodwinking the locals, according to  the locals.
