KATHMANDU, Feb 24: Bansbari Football Club and Boys Union Club have started the Martyr’s Memorial B-Division League with wins in Lalitpur on Sunday.
On the opening day of the league played at the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Complex in Satdobato, Bansbari defeated Shree Bhagawati Club 1-0, while Boys Union beat Shree Kumari Club 2-0 to start the tournament with wins.

Suleman Thapa Magar scored a 63rd-minute goal to seal the win for Bansbari as the team has registered its first three points on the opening day.
Earlier, in the inauguration match, Bartaman Rai and Pradip Bogati scored a goal each for Boys Union as it comfortably beat Shree Kumari.
A total of 12 teams are taking part in the tournament, which runs till April 5. The highest finishing team will be promoted to the A-Division League, while the lowest team will be relegated to the third tier of Nepali football.
Tushal Club will take on Pulchowk Sports Club, while Khumaltar Youth Club faces Madhyapur Youth Association on Monday.
