A press release issued by the bank on Wednesday states that the Narayangadh branch offers all modern banking services, including institutional and personal finance services. It also offers deposit schemes like "Sulav Bachat" and "Samriddhi Bachat," which yield annual interests of 6.5 percent and six percent, respectively.
The bank has also introduced a deposit scheme for its shareholders and their family members. This scheme, named "BOA Shareholders Bachat," generates an annual interest of seven percent, while the "BOA Karmachari Bachat," another deposit scheme, which is targeted at private companies, government and quasi-government employees and their family members, yields an interest of 7.5 percent.
The bank, which also offers internet banking service, is planning to open seven more branches in various parts of the country.
Sanima´s ATM cards now functional in India
KATHMANDU, May 6: The customers of Sanima Bikas Bank Limited can now withdraw money from 1,677 automated teller machines (ATMs) of Punjab National Bank scattered all over India.
"This extension of service is in line with Sanima Bank´s commitment to provide extensive value added services to customers," states a press release issued by the bank on Wednesday. Sanima, which has been operating in profit since its inception, had a deposit base of Rs 4.26 billion till mid-April 2009.
Till the review period, the bank´s loan portfolio stood at Rs 3.81 billion. In the same period, the bank generated a net profit of Rs 38.75 million.
Another award for Qatar Airways
KATHMANDU, May 6: Doha-based Qatar Airways took home the airline award for Best Economy Class in the Middle East at a ceremony held in Dubai for travel industry professionals on May 4.
Readers of the monthly Business Traveler Middle East magazine voted the airline as having the most comfortable cabin and best in-flight service for in Economy Class. The company won the award weeks after it earned the title of ´Best Economy Class´ in the world at the annual Skytrax passenger survey awards held in Germany.
“The latest accolade recognizes the airline´s continued commitment to offer the traveling public with unrivalled levels of in-flight services,” states a press release issued by Qatar Airways. The release also quoted Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker as saying: “Most airlines invest heavily in developing their premium cabins and, while we continue to do this, we also strive to ensure our high standards are maintained in the economy class and passenger expectations are exceeded worldwide.”
