UDAYAPUR, Feb 20: A normal life has been affected in the district due to bandh called by Communist Party of Nepal led by Netra Bikram Chand alias Biplab.
Markets, factories, schools and colleges have remained shut while vehicles have stayed off the road since early morning.
However, government offices, banks and financial institutes are operating. Similarly, the program organized on the occasion of Golden Jubilee of Tribeni Secondary School in Katari has been affected.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari, who was invited as a chief guest, has landed in Katari by a helicopter. She landed at 11:05 am.
She is scheduled to inspect Brigade No. 18 of the Nepal Army based in district headquarters Gaighat before she returns to Kathmandu.
