Baglung landslide death toll rises to eight

KATHMANDU, Sept 3: Four more dead bodies were retrieved from landslide in Dhorpatan Municipality in Baglung district, taking the death toll to eight.

According to the District Police Office, Baglung, four more dead bodies have been recovered from the incident site later this morning. Earlier, the police personnel with the help of locals had retrieved four dead bodies.

A landslide and flood triggered by incessant rainfall in Bhuji River had swept away more than 20 houses and left a dozen people missing. The dead bodies recovered so far are yet to be identified. The number of people missing the incident is likely to go up, according to the locals.
