SINDHUPALCHWOK, May 29: Thirteen people were killed and 33 others critically injured when a passenger bus skidded off the road and veered off some 100 meters here in Chhapulledanda , Thangpalkot VDC-2 of the district on Wednesday.
The critically injured have been airlifted to Kathmandu via a helicopter for the treatment.
According to police those 10 of the deceased identified so far are Rana Bahadur and Sabina Pandit of Thangpalkot-3, Mithu Sapkota of Thangpalkot-5, Dhane Tamang of Thangpalkot-6, Sinena Lama of Ghotang-2, Budhhe Lama- Ghotang-3, Sher Bahadur Lama of Ghotang-8, Chhote Tamang of Gunchha -8, Tsering Tmang and Mendo Tamang of Beruwa-1.
It has been estimated that a total of 70 passengers were in the bus when the incident happened.
The ill-feted bus, which was on its way to Kathmandu from Bhotang of the district, met with accident at around 9 am, according to a rescuer, Kumar Khatri.
