CHINA, Jan 8: Chinese seismologists have registered 515 aftershocks in the disaster zone in the Tibet Autonomous Region, which occurred in the last 24 hours after the main, most destructive earthquake, China Central Television reported.
It has been clarified that up to 95% of cases of prolonged seismic activity in the area of the city of Shigatse were earthquakes with a magnitude of less than 3.0. The strongest of them reached a magnitude of 4.4.
