Over 2000 students from 70 schools participated in the contest. Out of 10 short listed students, finalists Singh and Mishra were selected by the judges’ panel which comprised of Business Entrepreneur Asmi Rana, CEO of NIC Bank Sashin Joshi, Director of Creative Statements Srijana Singh Yonzon, Radio Broadcaster and Singer Rajendra Prasad Sharma and Miss Nepal 2010 Sadichha Shrestha.
The finale comprised of an introduction and talent round followed by a judges’ question round. The winners were awarded by last year’s representatives, Akshay Singh and Prabha Neupane.

Eighth grader Suhani Bothra from Kendriya Vidhyalaya who participated in the essay competition on generation gap shared her experience. “It was a tough competition and a thrilling one. Apart from cheering for my school, I enjoyed the mentors’ performances in which teachers from various schools showcased their talents.”
The initial part of the competition was divided into two sections; culture programs like dancing and band performances and creative zone which included literary contests like essay competition and group discussion.
The two finalists will represent Nepal in over 50 different rounds over the period of five days. Five winners of the final competition will be awarded with a scholarship of IRs 100,000 and a trip to South Africa.
