KATHMANDU, Aug 12: Asan has long remained a trading hub for people of Kathmandu. Until 19th century Asan was a popular meeting point for traders from India- Tibet. The trade route is diagonally aligned, and the section within the city extends from Kathmandu Durbar Square to Asan and to the northeast.
