Arzu Deuba files application in Cyber Bureau regarding audio tape

KATHMANDU, May 8: The Central Member of Nepali Congress (NC) and Member of Parliament Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has approached the police demanding justice.


She submitted an application to the Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police demanding that the audio mentioning her name in the fake Bhutanese refugee case be investigated and the culprits be prosecuted.

On Wednesday, she demanded that the fake audio published in some media and social networks was recorded in a planned manner with the intention of defaming her.


The application filed by Arzu Deuba states, “I have no idea about the fake Bhutanese refugee scam which has been published in various media mentioning my name. Where, how, who and for what purpose did they record the audio recording of the conversation with my name in relation to the fake Bhutanese refugee case which I have no connection with? I have submitted this request that the truth be made public immediately using the latest technology about the audio, and strict action should be taken against the culprits according to the law.”
