KATHMANDU, Aug 22: Yubraj Safal has lodged a complaint against Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).

Safal has accused Minister Rana of being involved in both the fake Bhutanese refugee scam and the Tikapur land irregularities.

He has argued that Rana should step down from her position on moral grounds until she is acquitted by the court of the charges against her.

Safal has called for an immediate investigation into Minister Rana and has demanded her resignation.

He also warned that if his complaint is not taken seriously, he will take the matter to the Supreme Court.

The complaint reads, "It appears that Foreign Minister Arzu Deuba is implicated in the fake Bhutanese refugee and Tikapur land irregularity cases. A minister must possess high moral standards, and therefore, until she is exonerated by the court in the mentioned cases, it is not appropriate for her to remain in office on moral grounds. Therefore, I request that the respondent Arzu Rana Deuba be asked to resign immediately on moral grounds and that an immediate investigation be initiated against her by the esteemed Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority. If no action is taken on this complaint, I also inform you that I will take the matter to the esteemed Supreme Court."
