Arthayala, school of economics and entrepreneurship, is a five-day program that focuses exclusively on imparting learning and entrepreneurship skills to students, said the organizers. [break]
"The program is very different from the formal classes students take in their colleges," said Manish Jha, Coalitions Relations Manager at Samriddhi, adding, " The program offers the students learning skills through practical classes."
Seminars were also held and lectures delivered to make students ´act out businesses´, said Jha. "Here, students are given "Samriddhi currency" which they can use to start a business of their own. This we do so that students can get the feeling of what it is like out their in the real world of business," he added.

The organizers claim that it is a tailored program, especially beneficial to a country like Nepal. They reasoned that the classes are focused on how to cope with the frequent bandhs (strikes) and the gloomy economic environment. "Building a business amid limited resources is what entrepreneurship is all about and at Arthayalaya that is exactly what we give," said Jha.
The class enrolls only 24 students per batch and has five batches a year. A student needs to be 18 to 26 years of age and a graduate or a postgraduate in any stream in order to register for the program. Arthalaya will have its 11th batch in January and the announcement of admissions will be posted on its website: www. samriddhi.org.
