KATHMANDU, June 7: The arguments of the defendant side in the case of fake Bhutanese refugees is starting from today. After the arguments of the Public Prosecutors ended on Tuesday, the arguments of the lawyers of the defendant side will start from today.
The lawyers of the accused side will get six days time to put forth arguments. For the said debate, names have been nominated by the former attorney general, current president of Nepal Bar Association, and former presidents. Nepal Bar Association President Gopal Krishna Ghimire, former Attorney General Ramesh Badal, Khamma Bahadur Khati, Raman Shrestha, senior advocates Mahadev Yadav, Harihar Dahal, Prem Bahadur Khadka, Sher Bahadur KC and others will argue on behalf of the defendant.
Closing arguments set for R. Kelly trial on fixing charges
After the custodial hearing in the District Court Kathmandu, the order will be made that the accused will be detained and prosecuted or released on bail.
