POKHARA, March 17: A fresh recruit died while trying to flee a training camp of Armed Police Force (APF) at Lamapatan of Pokhara on Tuesday.

Nineteen-year-old Kailash KC died after falling from a cliff while fleeing the camp. Bijaya KC and Bishwa Gautam, who also fled the camp with him, have gone missing.

Kailash, a resident of Heluki VDC in Dang, fled the camp Tuesday morning. The nine-month constable training had started on March 9.

One hundred fresh recruits are receiving the training.

An APF source suspected that the three fled after finding the training difficult. The APF is searching for the two absconding trainees.
