In two singles and a doubles competition, APF beat Nepal Army (NA) 2-1. [break]
In the first singles, Saradevi Tamang of NA recorded a straight set 21-10, 21-8 win over Puja Shrestha of APF. But Nangsaladevi Tamang of APF beat Saraswati Shrestha of NA 21-6, 21-11 in the second singles to level the match 1-1.
In the decisive doubles match, Shrestha and Tamang´s pair of APF had a straight set 21-9, 21-9 win over the army pair of Tamang and Shrestha. Sunsari and Kaski jointly finished third.
In men´s team event, APF had a hard fought 3-2 win over another departmental team--Nepal Police Club (NPC). To take their second title, APF won two singles and a doubles match.
In the first singles, Bikash Shrestha of NPC beat Ratnajit Tamang of APF 21-14, 21-18 but APF leveled the scoring in the second singles as Sajan Krishna Tamrakar of APF registered a three-set 21-10, 19-21, 21-12 win over Kishor Rana of NPC. In the last singles, Pankaj Chand of APF coasted past Sahadev Khadka of NPC 22-20, 14-21, 21-15.

Under doubles, Bikash Shrestha and Bivek Shrestha of APF teamed against Tamang and Tamrakar´s pair to beat them 18-21, 23-21, 21-18.
In women´s singles, Samjhana Khaling and Meena Shrestha of APF, Saraswati Shrestha of NA, Anita Ghimire of Kathmandu, Shakuntala Nembang of Sunsari, Hemkhyama Rai of Bhojpur, Maya Gurung of Kaski, Samjhana Sharma of Banke and Manisha Bohara of Morang won their respective matches to advance into the pre-quarterfinal round.
Likewise, Saradevi Tamang of NA, Kamala Thapa of Dhading, Nangsaladevi Tamang, Sarita Tamang and Puja Shrestha of APF, Punam Gurung of Kaski and Ganga Shrestha of Kanchanpur received byes to enter the women´s singles pre-quarterfinal round.

In men´s singles, Basanta Bajracharya of Palpa, Kanchan Thagunna of Baitadi, Tulsi Subedi of Morang, Bivek Thapa of Kanchanpur, Bishnu Katuwal of NPC, Bilas Warsi of Banke, Devendra Khadka of Sunsari, Raju Gupta of Chitwan, Sudip Sedhai of Kavre, Suraj Maharjan of Kavre, Mahesh Bajracharya of Palpa, Bishal Pradhan of APF, Binod Dangi of Morang, Shambhu Kumar Shrestha of Kaski, Sanjeev Khadka of Kailali, Bivek Shrestha, Bikash Shrestha, Deepak Bohara and Kishor Rana of NPC and Surya Shrestha of Sunsari advanced winning their respective matches.
In U-19 men´s singles, Ratnajit Tamang of APF, Sudip Sedhai of Kavre, Bivek GC of Baglung, Rajesh Chand of Kanchanpur, Sanjeev Khadka of Kailali, Sahil Shrestha of Palpa, Dipesh Dhami of APF, Riyajuddin Iyaz Ghani and Bilal Warsi of Banke, Ganesh Rayamajhi of NPC, Mohammad Irfan Ansari of APF, Prakash Limbu of Sunsari, Adarsha Bista of Kailali, Bhugol Gurung of Kaski, Prabin Basnet of Bhojpur and Sajan Krishna Tamrakar of APF made it to the third round.
