KATHMANDU, Oct 5: Apex Digital -- a part of Apex Group Pvt Ltd -- has started a multibrand smartphone retail chain in Nepal.

An outlet was inaugurated on Monday in Pako, New Road, by Deepak Malhotra while the group’s senior management team opened another one in Thimi, Bhaktapur, according to a statement from Apex Digital issued on Tuesday.

The company said in its statement that it had inaugurated another series of stores outside the Kathmandu Valley -- including in Pokhara, Dharan and Damak -- on Tuesday.
It plans to open 40 stores throughout the country in the next two years and aims to reach people all over Nepal, it said.

“’Biswash Chari, Nepal Bhari’ is the mantra of Apex Digital,” Apex Digital said, adding: “All the smartphone brands with their flagship products are displayed at separate smart tables -- a first in Nepal -- at the Apex Digital stores.”

Apex Digital is offering 5 percent to 50 percent cash discounts, tempered glasses and phone covers, among others, with its smartphones.

Customers also get entered into a lucky draw with one customer from every store getting a 32-inch LED TV as a prize.

Apex Digital will also be handing out a ‘Bumper Gift Hamper’ -- a Scooty -- to one customer.
