KATHMANDU, June 19: The Supreme Court (SC) Wednesday issued an interim order, asking the Insurance Board (IB not to implement its decision taken earlier in the morning to sack its executive director Binod Aryal.

A single bench of officiating chief justice Damodar Prasad Sharma issued the stay order for a week. The court has summoned both the petitioner and defendant to discuss whether the sacking of Aryal should be upheld or not. [break]

Aryal was removed from the post after he was found guilty of multiple counts of misconduct, the IB had said in a statement. “Acts committed by Aryal violated provisions in the Employees Regulation, which made him unfit for the position,” IB Spokesperson Raj Kumar Aryal had told a press conference.
