KATHMANDU, May 23: Manoj Pandey, director of Model Globe Visas Consultancy, has been in police custody for two days. The Metropolitan Police Crime Division had arrested him from Swayambhu on Saturday evening.
Pandey faces allegation of raping a teenager some eight years ago. The incident came to light after the victim released a series of video exposing the sexual assault incidents on social media.

Even two days after his arrest, the police are still confused about how to register and investigate the case. No written complaint has been lodged against him till Sunday. A police source said that they have not yet decided as to how to initiate legal action as no complaint has been lodged against him till date.
Another minor has also reached the police on Sunday alleging that the accused Pandey had sexually abused her as well. According to Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office Spokesperson Superintendent of Police Krishna Koirala, the victim who reached them for help is below 18 years of age.
She had reached the MPCD on Sunday afternoon with her friend. According to a police source, the girl verbally expressed her pain.
Police said that she could file a written complaint on Monday. As she is currently a minor, the current statute of limitation will not be applicable in her case.
