ANNFSU leader Nabina Lama from Oli panel and Dipak Gautam from Madhav Nepal faction is contesting for the post of president.

Even though the election was held between two panels, it has been difficult to predict which group is leading the elections, an ANNFSU central leader told Republica. He revealed that some leaders are presumed to have cast votes against their own panel candidates.

"The main organizing committee including the central special region alone has 300 votes. No one can guess who capitalized on these votes, which play a decisive role in which panel will win.
