KATHMANDU, Dec 12: The All Nepal National Free Students Union-Revolutionary (ANNFSU-R), the student wing of the ruling CPN (Maoist Center), has padlocked the Purbanchal University (PU)’s Contact Office, Kathmandu and Central Office, Biratnagar on Monday.
ANNFSU-R Vice-president Madan Chudal argued that they had to padlock the offices as the university didn’t address their twenty-point demands.

Chudal said that the student union had submitted a memorandum with their written demands two months earlier to the university, which includes demands to curb financial irregularities and improve educational system of the university.
“They neglected our demands and therefore we had to padlock their offices today,” he said.
