The sister organization of the ruling coalition member Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist and Leninist) also warned of a series of protests if Maoist cadres involved in the incident are not booked immediately.
Malla, a former member of ANNFSU Kalikot District Committee and joint-secretary of the ANNFSU chapter at Jana Higher Secondary School in the district, was stabbed to death by Young Communist League (YCL) cadre Padam Raut a.k.a. Tiger when he was having a meal at a local restaurant at Surkhet Bus Park.
ANNFSU alleged that Maoist-affiliated All Nepal National Independent Student Union-Revolutionary (ANNISU-R) central member Pancha Singh a.k.a. Paramita was also directly involved in the murder.
ANNFSU chairperson Ram Kumari Jhankri said that Malla was murdered after he protested against the ANNISU-R admitting 45 students including Pancha Singh for purposes of the Free Student Union (FSU) election, with the help of forged Indian academic certificates. The admission of all 45 was nullified after through investigations.
The FSU election at all college campuses across the country is slated for March 19.
Jhankri announced that they have directed all the campuses to stage protests on March 12 against the murder . "We will unveil a series of protest programs if the government fails to book the guilty," he added.
