KATHMANDU, Sept 11: Anju Suwal of Prabhat English School clinched gold medal in the U-12 girls' singles event during the Fourth Nationwide School-level Open Table Tennis Tournament on Friday.
Anju beat Durga Rajbhandari of Bijeshwari School 13-11, 11-7, 11-6 in the final played on the premise of co-host Pushpa Kunja. Manju Suwal of Prabhat and Anushka Simkhada of Bijeshwari finished joint third.

Meanwhile, Adarsha Vidya Mandir beat Vidya Arjan School 3-0 and Proxima recorded 3-1 win over UCPS to enter the final in boys' team event.
Similarly, AVM beat UCPS 3-0 to sail into the final of girls' team event. Likewise, Dipesh Subedi and Bibek GC of Pushpa Kunja entered the third round in U-16 boys' singles event. The tournament will conclude on Saturday.
